Church Beck training….

Tonight’s team training took us up Church Beck, for a canyoning accident scenario.  Adam, our unfortunate casualty for the evening had taken a slip down the first water fall and suffered a broken femur,  suspected chest injury and broken ankle.

The learning points included: team and gear selection with consideration for swift water rescue equipment and personnel; casualty care in water; casualty stabilisation and evacuation from a gorge environment and communication in noisy and limited signal areas. A valuable session and in usually warm water too!
