The weather was warm, sunny and dry.

The team was called out to the aid of a dog who had sustained an arterial bleed whilst walking with his owners above High Nibthwaite, a hamlet on the far east side of Coniston Water.

A land rover quickly set off but on arrival it was ascertained that other walkers had been able to help carry the dog down to the road, and it was already on its way to the vets in Ulverston.

6 Team Personnel attended this incident which took 1 3/4 hours .
