Jubilee Beacon….

 

June 4th, as part of the Jubilee celebrations the Coniston Mountain rescue team organinsed the lighting of the Beacon on the top of the Old Man. The night could not have been more perfect, watching the sun set over Scafell and then the moon rise over the far distant Yorkshire peaks. Plus of course being able to see all the other beacons light up the night sky all around!!
