Holme Fell, Coniston 14th August 2014 18:36hrs 26/2014

The weather was cloudy with heavy showers.

We were called to the aid of a family of 5 (three of which were children) who had become lost on Holme Fell to the North of the village.

Initially two team members, including the Team Leader, set off immediately to commence the search whilst the rest of the team gathered at the base. They were then split in to three more groups to cover the area extensively from different approaches. The family was found safe and well near Uskdale Gap and were accompanied back to their car which had been left at Stang End.

In total 17 Team Members responded to this incident which lasted 2 hours.
