Coniston Water 4th August 2015 18:06hrs 36/2015

It was a dry evening with a slight breeze.

The Police asked us to go to the assistance of a young girl afloat in a dinghy on the lake at Coniston. She was unable to get herself back to the jetty.

The Team Leader communicated with the Boating Centre and it was quickly agreed that they were well equipped to  go to the aid of the casualty without the need for a full team call out. They took the incident over and we were stood down.

6 Team members had already arrived at the base and the call out was closed within ½ hr.
