Incident 25 of 2023:-

It was a warm sunny afternoon when we were asked by NWAS (North West Ambulance Service) to assist with an evacuation on the shoreline of Coniston Water.
A gentleman had tumbled down a steep rocky edge towards the water. He had suspected multiple injuries requiring the use of our vacuum mattress, which provides a full body splint.
Once safely on the stretcher and a simple safety rope system put in place, he was carried up to the roadside for his onward journey to hospital.
12 members attended and the incident took 1 hour 35 mins.
