Incident 49 of 2024:-
10/08/24, 23.20, Sunny Bank, SD291912
Just as we arrived back at the Base, the Team was given a ‘heads-up’ call by another team member who was at a developing incident. We were then tasked to assist North West Ambulance Service with the evacuation of a lady who had tumbled down the banking at the lake shore near Sunny Bank. She had a possible spinal injury as well as a head injury. She was given pain relief, fully immobilised and stretchered with a safety line up to the road. The casualty was then taken by NWAS to Furness General Hospital.
13 volunteer team members attended, and the incident lasted for 1 1/2 hours. The Team would just like to thank everyone else who assisted with this incident. Relatives, campers and general members of the public were instrumental in the good welfare of this lady.
