Incident 43 of 2024:-
21/07/24, 16.34, Brathay area
Within 10 minutes of the NWAS callout for Incident 42, Cumbria Police asked us to help with a search for a missing older child in the area between High Wray and Skelwith. Two Land Rovers were initially despatched, with the third following after Incident 42 had been concluded.
Following his parent’s advice, the main paths and tracks were searched quickly, with the aim to undergo more intense searching later, and probably with more resources. Langdale & Ambleside MRT was asked to assist, and we also had two Search dogs on their way. We then received the call that the boy had been found safe and well, a relief for all. Thank you LAMRT and the two Search dog Teams.
