Incident 53 of 2023:-

Cumbria Police called us about a couple of walkers who were benighted on the steep path above the Claife Heights viewing station. The man had already slipped on the wet rocks, and they had no torches, so were stuck. Three members who live locally assisted the pair down to the road, where our Land Rover took them to the ferry. Once across, a taxi took them on to their accommodation in Windermere.
12 volunteer team members attended for 1 hour and 25 minutes.
