Once again it was a warm, dry and sunny afternoon.
A walker reported having seen something fall over 100 ft from Dow Crag. He was unable to confirm whether it was a person or animal.
Rather than initiate a full team call out at this stage, a small party went to investigate. Eventually they were able to ascertain that some climbers had dislodged a rock to clear a route on Dow Crag. There were also several sheep within the confines of the crags which the initial observer could have mistaken as having fallen. It was decided that no further action was necessary.
There were 6 team members involved with this call out, which took just over 2 hours.
