Incident 24 of 2023:-

On a bright, sunny day, a gentleman was walking with his dog when it cut its paw badly near Torver Low Common. We had only last week had a training session on canine first aid, so were well-placed to help when Duddon & Furness MRT passed the call to us as the location was in our patch. A small party was despatched in two vehicles. On arrival the paw was cleaned and bandaged. The owner and his dog were then driven to their vehicle at Brown How, for their forward journey to their own vet since it would not take too long.
4 volunteer team members and 1 member of a team member’s family attended for 2 hours 10 mins.
