Hugo

The weather was cool and dry but cloudy and breezy.

We were asked by the North West Ambulance Service to go to the aid of a lady who was suffering a dislocated kneecap. She and her partner had been walking below Carron Crag, the highest point in Grizedale Forest, when her large 30kg dog, Hugo, accidently ran in to her at speed and consequently dislocated her kneecap.

One land rover was quickly dispatched and another followed a little later. On arrival, the casualty was given pain relief and made as comfortable as possible until the Ambulance arrived on scene. She was taken to Furness General Hospital.

11 Team Personnel responded to this incident which took 2 1/2 hours .
