Grizedale Forest

Incident 27 of 2021:-
10/08/2021, 13.20, Grizedale Forest, SD341947

The afternoon was warm and sunny. We were asked by NWAS (North West Ambulance Service) to go to the assistance of a lady in Grizedale Forest. She had been walking along one of the way-marked trails when she became unwell.

One Land Rover left the Base as soon as enough personnel had arrived, due to the possible seriousness of the incident. A second vehicle followed later. However, on arrival at the Visitors’ Centre, the lady had already been brought down by a Community First Responder who we were aware had already been making her way to the location. NWAS was also in attendance. We therefore stood down and returned to Base.

9 members responded to this incident which took 1 hr 10 mins.
