On a pleasant summer evening, a family group lost their bearings in Grizedale Forest and were unable to find their way back to their vehicle at the Visitors’ Centre. They phoned Cumbria Police for help, who passed the incident to us. We established their position as being on a main bridleway in the forest using the What 3 Words location finder system, and despatched two vehicles to pick them up and return them to their car.
