Incident 49 of 2023:-
28/09/23, 17.39, Scale Green, Grizedale Forest, SD330928
It was a damp and grey day, with rain forecast for the evening, when we were called by Cumbria Police about a man who had a knee injury in Grizedale Forest. We despatched two Land Rovers close to his location via off-road tracks, and found him not much further. He had tried to walk off the injury, but had been in too much pain to continue. He was assessed, pain relief given, knee bandaged and then he was helped to our Land Rovers. We drove him, his wife and their dogs back to the Visitor Centre car park, where it was deemed that he was fit enough to return home.
10 members attended for 2 hours, and the rain started just after we finished.
