Incident 53 of 2024:-
31/08/24, 17.41, High Pike, NY374093
It had been a warm and dry day when we received a request from Langdale & Ambleside MRT (LAMRT) for assistance. A male walker had sustained an ankle injury north of High Pike and LAMRT were very low on numbers for the stretcher-carry off the fell. We deployed a full vehicle of 5 team members and met up with LAMRT on the fell. When down, the gentleman was driven to their Base for his onward journey to hospital. Once they were fed and watered our members returned to Base.
11 members responded to this incident which took just under 4 hours.
