Incident 63 of 2024:-
29/10/24, 14.33, Holme Fell, NY315009
On another fine autumn day, a woman, walking on Holme Fell with her family, slipped and hurt her ankle at almost exactly the same place as Incident 62. North West Ambulance Service asked us to help, and we despatched two Land Rovers to Holme Ground, and later a third. We walked up from there. The lady was assessed, pain relief given, the ankle attended to and splinted before being stretchered down to our vehicles. She was then transferred to a land ambulance for treatment at Furness General Hospital.
12 volunteer team members attended this incident, which lasted for nearly 3 hours.
