Incident 42 of 2023:-
15/08/23, 13.51, Holme Fell, NY319008
After a very rainy previous day, the sun came out and a family group was walking up Holme Fell when the young lady slipped into the beck at Uskdale Gap. We were called by Cumbria Police, initially reporting a displaced kneecap. We despatched two Land Rovers and walked up from Yew Tree Tarn. On our arrival, she was assessed and the kneecap had already returned to its natural position. We splinted the leg and stretchered her down to her family vehicle at the tarn. They were happy to make their own way to Furness General Hospital to have the knee checked over.
14 volunteer members attended for 2 hours and 25 minutes.
