Incident 29 of 2023:-
17/06/23, 03.33, Old Man of Coniston, SD273976
Only 8 hours after coming off the fell on Incident 28, Cumbria Police called us again after a lady on the east side of Coniston Water saw a flashing light on the top of the Old Man of Coniston. We had already observed several wild campers the previous evening, but felt duty-bound to investigate even though these flashing lights incidents typically are not emergencies. One vehicle was despatched with two members onboard. The summit was checked as the sun came up and nothing was found. A call with good intent.
6 team members attended for 1 hour and 22 minutes, and the whole team was woken by the incoming text.
