Incident 15 of 2024:-
02/03/24, 00.32, Piers Gill, Scafell, Approx. NY212083
Another early morning call from Wasdale MRT, which turned out to be a repeat of Incident 14.
A young man had been descending from Scafell with his two dogs when he slipped into Piers Gill, again alive but sustaining various injuries. However, he was found during the early hours, prior to Coniston being deployed. HM Coastguard was able to assist with the evacuation.
3 members responded to this incident. We were stood down 2 hours later.
