Incident 9 of 2024:-
19/01/24, 15.22, Tarn Hows, SD334998
On a cold, clear day, a man walking near Tarn Hows fell on an icy path and injured his arm. Passing walkers and a farmer helped, and called for an ambulance. Cumbria Police then called us because the land ambulance could not get down the track, and our Land Rovers could. We despatched two vehicles right to his location, where paramedics were already assessing him and giving pain relief. Our role was to gently load him into our Land Rover and drive him to High Cross where the land ambulance was waiting to take him to Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
9 team members attended for 2 hours and 55 minutes.
