Incident 31 of 2023:-
24/06/23, 20.24, Tilberthwaite, NY308006
It was a warm and dry evening when CUMPOL received a request by a member of the public asking if Mountain Rescue would assist in the retrieval of their two Land Rovers which had become stuck in a bog near Tilberthwaite. The Team Leader was contacted asking if this was something they would help with. As there was a large number of children involved she decided to accept the call out.
Two vehicles were deployed with a small party. Fortunately we were able to winch both Land Rovers to safety and subsequently back on to the road.
6 Team members + a family member attended. Incident took 2 hrs 6 mins.
