We were contacted by Cumbria Police with a request to attend to a lady with a possible fractured ankle. Team members attended in team Land Rovers as far as possible and walked the rest of the way. The casualty was given pain relief and brought down to a team vehicle, then to our base in Coniston. She was then taken to Furness General Hospital by friends.
12 team members attended, the incident took 3 and a half hours.
