As mentioned in a previous newsletter, the rescue box below Dow Crag has been deteriorating for years and is now beyond any practical use. This box, along with others at Sty Head and Mickledore, were marked on OS maps (although they are missing from my more recent copies) so we have decided to replace it rather than just remove it. Rob Jones has been very busy and is nearing completion of the build. Soon we will have to come up with a plan to get it taken up to Dow and install it, hopefully before the weather turns against us.
