Cove Quarry / Walna Scar, March 30th 2013 13:45hrs (8/2013)

We were asked by the police to search for a man who was reported missing and there were concerns for his safety.

The team split into groups and searched various places concentrating in the Walna Scar area, although other locations around Coniston were also checked. After 2 1/2 hours the team was stood down as there was no sign of the gentleman and no further information to work with.

However, fortunately just before 18.00hrs,  we were advised that the man had turned up safe and well.

17 team members turned out for this incident.
