Incident 6 of 2020:-
8/2/20, 13:20hrs, Gill Cove Crag, SD276993
Another cool and windy afternoon, and another call, this time from CUMPOL (Cumbria Police) who had received a call from walkers concerned about an apparently crag-fast sheep uphill from Levers Water. We sent a small team to investigate, and saw that the sheep appeared well and not distressed, and was still finding things to eat on its perch. The crag was wet and greasy, so the decision was made not to take undue risks, and look again after the Storm Ciara had passed.
This incident was attended by 12 volunteer team members, not all of whom were needed, and lasted 2hrs 50mins.
