Incident 18 of 2025:-

It was a clear but cool early morning when CUMPOL (Cumbria Police) asked us to go the assistance of a gentleman who was very uncomfortable with the way he was feeling. He and his friend had had a long day’s walk and decided to camp at Low Water, nestled below Coniston Old Man, because he began to feel unwell.
Two vehicles were deployed and team members made their way up to their location. After an assessment it was agreed the gentleman was well enough to be accompanied off the fell. Everything was packed up and carried down to the vehicles at Windy Gap. We had decided the safest way forward was to drive them to their van in Ambleside so they could rest up.
11 Team Members responded to this incident which took just over 3 1/2 hrs.
