Incident 3 of 2025:-

It was not a nice day for walking – low cloud, strong winds and heavy rain squalls. A couple of walkers had reached the top of the Old Man and started descending to the south, but quickly lost the path and became increasingly worried about steepening ground. They called for help, and Cumbria Police tasked us. With the phonefinder function, we were able to locate them, and then despatched two Land Rovers to Bursting Stone quarry, walking up the hill from there.
Once found, they were given extra clothing and a hot drink before being accompanied down the fell to our Land Rovers. After warming up at our base, they continued their short holiday.
